New missionaries!

We welcomed two wonderful new missionaries this past week, Sister Pressley and Elder Hoskins.  Both of them will be serving in Chinatown.  We love to greet them at the airport when they arrive.

President Smith showing them his Chinese tie that the Chinatown missionaries gave him.

We had Elder Casper, Elder Kuo, Sister Eastman and Sister Vassau, who are serving in our ward in Scarsdale join us for a welcome dinner at our home.  Elder Hoskins sang "How Great Thou Art" followed by a testimony meeting.  It was amazing.  Sister Pressley spent some time helping William on the piano.  He is learning Called to Serve and We Thank Thee Oh God For a Prophet.  Later that evening we drove Sister Pressley and Elder Hoskins to Chinatown to meet their trainers and the other Mandarin Speaking missionaries.  There were lots of hugs and laughs.

On Friday we held New Missionary Meeting for all the new missionaries and their companions.  This is one of my favorite meetings.  It is so fun to see the new missionaries again after they have spent a few days "out in the field", working and learning their areas.
