There have been many highlights on our mission but one of my favorite days is the day we attend the Temple with the missionaries who will be going home the next transfer. It is awesome to be in the beautiful Manhattan Temple together. President Bennion, who is currently serving as the Temple President always takes a few minutes with us. He is wonderful with the missionaries and teaches them many things. We also spend time together in a sealing room talking about the doctrine of Eternal families. It is the culminating message of the gospel that these missionaries have shared for the past 18 months or 2 years. Our Heavenly Father loves each of us so much. He wants ALL his children to return to him. So much of our lives are determined by the small choices we make everyday. We are all faced with adversity, often not by our own doing but how we respond can make all the difference. I know in my own life as I have turned to the Savior, and trusted in his redeeming love, I have felt "peace in this world" and hope for "eternal life in the world to come". (D&C 59:23)
Sister Keeling got my phone!
So grateful for Elder and Sister Waterman and then faithful service in Olmstead
P-day is a great day to run into lots of missionaries at Lincoln Square by the Temple
I went to close the trunk to my car and saw this site. Smart missionaries...keeping their suit coats looking nice rather than throwing them on the floor of the car.
We also attended the Temple this week as a family for William's first time. It was so awesome to be there with my 4 favorite people. We've looked forward to this day for many years.
William is going to miss Elder Reid so much...and I suspect Elder Reid is going to miss William!
