The mission continues on...

The missionaries have been busy sharing the beautiful Christmas message A Savior Is Born.  Check out our mission page on Facebook "A Savior Is Born - NYC".

We regularly hold mission conference calls.  I took this picture during our call on Monday.

We welcomed Elder Ramanlal on Tuesday.  He will serve in Chinatown speaking Mandarin.  The missionaries called to speak Chinese typically spend one extra week in the MTC.  He is a great addition to the mission already...and he's from Hawaii so it was fun to reminisce with him about our earlier missions.

We held a meeting with the new missionaries and their trainers today in Scarsdale.  It is always wonderful to see the new missionaries after they've been here just over a week.  Each companionship introduces one another.  Without fail there is added confirmation that these are the right trainers with the right missionaries.  Super cool to see that!  This is The Lord's work and he is directing it.

Shoutout to the Amazing Keller 2nd Ward in Texas!!!  Thank you for the beautiful letters you wrote to the missionaries.  I shared some of them in our meeting today.  We laughed and cried!  They were so sweet and helped the missionaries appreciate the sacred privilege to serve as a full time missionary.  I will admit it made me homesick to receive those letters yesterday. I sat at the kitchen counter and cried as I read each one.  I love my Texas ward family who has been with me through the ups and downs of life!  Thank you to all my Texas friends for the continued love and support of our mission and our missionaries.  We love you!
