WE THANK THEE, O GOD, FOR A PROPHET
How grateful we are for the life of President Thomas S. Monson. His teachings and exemplary life have blessed us in countless ways. We will miss this dear Prophet.
Below are some of our favorite President Monson quotes...
"He will not always take your afflictions from you, but He will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you may face."
"Let us examine our lives and determine to follow the Savior's example by being kind, loving, and charitable."
"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference."
"The Church is true, and I KNOW it!"
"Choose your love, love your choice."
"Decisions determine our destiny."
"Fear not. Be of good cheer. The future is as bright as your faith."
"What is most important almost always involves the people around us."
And his final plea and invitation to us all
followed by promised blessings...
"I implore each of us to prayerfully study and ponder the Book of Mormon each day. As we do so, we will be in a position to hear the voice of the Spirit, to resist temptation, to overcome doubt and fear, and to receive heaven's help in our lives. I so testify with all my heart in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
NEW YEARS DAY 2018
It was a memorable beginning to a new year. We said goodbye to faithful, valiant missionaries and welcomed a great new group.
The missionaries going home gathered at the mission home on Monday morning for brunch followed by a testimony meeting.
President Herget, of the Yorktown Stake joined us along with 4 of his young men. It was impressive that they chose to get up early New Years day to be with us. |
Following the testimony meeting we headed to JFK airport.
Also at JFK we welcomed 3 New Missionaries who arrived from the CCM in Mexico City.
Later that day we headed to HPN~Westchester Airport to pick up the remaining new missionaries
